Since this is the season of Advent I thought I would start off this blog with reflections on the season and maybe a new Advent song if I am feeling creative.
It is a season of waiting. I myself have been waiting for what feels like a long time to see if the bid I put on a condo will be accepted. It seems as if either I am being prepared or something in the unforseeable future is being prepared for that home. Yet I think waiting for a condo versus waiting for the Son of God to be born is not even comparable.
There is so much that is worth waiting for and there are so many things we are waiting for even if they are not in our best interest.
One of my favorite Advent songs is "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel." It has haunting verses and covers the whole gamut of what Christmas and Advent are all about...perhaps I'll write a reflection on this next.
